Background Information

Xin Jin holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China. He is a visiting scholar of Leaning and Vision Lab of the National University of Singapore. He achieved many awards, including ACM SIGAI China Doctoral Dissertation Award, Chinese Academy of Sciences President's Scholarship-Special Award, Outstanding Graduates of the University of Science and Technology of China and a title of ‘Rising Star of Microsoft Research Asia’. He is currently an assistant professor and doctoral supervisor at the Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo. He has published more than 40 papers in the field of computer vision and deep learning, covering top-tier conferences and journals, e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACMMM, NeurIPS, AAAI, IEEE TIP, IEEE TMM, ACM ToMM, Pattern Recognition, etc. He also served as a reviewer/PC for these conference papers and journal papers. He has obtained 8 authorized patents, covering advanced technologies like surveillance vision and intelligent coding, and he also actively participated in the international/domestic standardization work related to image and video compression. He organized the tutorials "Disentanglement and Compositionality in Computer Vision" and "Emerging Trends in Disentanglement and Compositionality" at CVPR 2024 and ECCV 2024, and also built up a Special Session on the theme of "Generative AI for Coding" at IEEE VCIP 2024. He was recently selected as one of the top 2% of scientists in the world by Stanford University in 2024.
