Selected Honors and Awards

• 2025 Frontiers of Science Award by the International congress of Basic Science.

• Distinguished Paper Award by the International Consortium of Chinese Mathematicians, for the paper “A new class of efficient and robust energy stable schemes for gradient flows,   SIAM Review, 61:474-506, 2019, authored by Jie Shen, Jie Xu and Jiang Yang” which is one of the three papers to win the award in 2024.

• Fellow of the Chinese Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CSIAM), class of 2024.

• Ranked #4 in the world for the single year (2024) impact and #9 in the world for the career impact in the field of Numerical and Computational Mathematics by the Stanford Rating of World's Top Scientists.
