A delegation led by Professor Zheng Chunmiao, Vice President in charge of international affairs of EIT, comprising Professor Wang Ping, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School, Professor Yin Xiaolong from the Engineering Department, and Dr. Song Lan from the External Cooperation Department, recently visited the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. Professor Michael Scott, Vice President in charge of international cooperation at the University of Warwick, and Professor Sai Gu, Vice President of the university, attended the reception.
Exchange Meeting
EIT and the University of Warwick officially signed an agreement on co-cultivating doctoral students in December 2023. The University of Warwick is the first foreign university to launch joint talent cultivation programs with EIT, with which EIT has carried out in-depth discussions and exchanges since preparation commenced for its establishment.

During the meeting, Vice President Zheng Chunmiao sincerely thanked the University of Warwick for the latter's trust and support for EIT, conveyed President Chen Shiyi's cordial greetings to President Stuart Croft, and expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Vice President Professor Michael Scott and Professor Sai Gu. The delegation and the persons in charge of relevant departments of the University of Warwick delivered a brief on the development of each school respectively, and had in-depth discussions on how to optimize the collaborative PhD programs, promote cooperation between professors from both parties, and launch undergraduate student exchange programs. Both parties reached a consensus on a number of matters during the discussions, including establishing a more flexible exchange system, organizing online and offline seminars, and setting up positions for visiting professors.
The delegation also visited partnering departments and research centers such as the International Energy Innovation Center and the International Advanced Manufacturing Center of the University of Warwick. This in-depth exchange and visit event marks a new stage in student cultivation and research cooperation between both parties, laying a solid foundation for expanding the international perspective for students and cross-cultural exchanges in future.
