The College of Science aims high at the most frontier challenges of foundational sciences, particuarlly in mathematics, statistical science, physics, chemistry, life sciences, and other fields of study. A top-notch faculty and research team is being built to train first-class STEM scholar by developing inter-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary education models, and seek to break grounds in universal challenges with dozens of original, impactful research achievements, by participating in key regional and national science projects and setting up influential scientific research platforms at the provincial and national levels.
Design and develop first-class disciplines of mathematics and statistics, with emphasis on foundational mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics & data science, operational research & cybernetics, etc.
Design and develop the first-class discipline of physics with emphasis on condensed matter physics, quantum physics, applied physics, space physics, geophysics, etc.
Design and develop the first-class discipline of chemistry with emphasis on physical chemistry, applied chemistry, etc.
Design and develop the first-class discipline of biology with emphasis on biological science and technology, molecular genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, etc.
