1. Group Introduction
The Intelligent Multiscale Process Engineering Group at the Eastern Institute of Technology is a diverse research group aiming to study the development and implementation of numerical modelling methods, high-quality multiscale simulations, and artificial intelligence techniques for a variety of different Chemical Engineering applications. Our team particularly seeks to develop novel reliable AI systems and hybrid multiscale models to capture a wide variety of different chemical processes and further advance the bounds of human knowledge within these fields. · Reliable AI Applications in Chemical Engineering: Transparency Exploration and Analysis
· AI-assisted Precise Process Monitoring and Control of Fluidization Systems
· Multiscale & Hybrid Modelling for Sessile Droplet Spreading and Superhydrophobic Surface Development
· Preprocessing and Analysis of Industrial Generated Data
· Physics-informed Hybrid Multiscale Modelling in Chemical Engineering Applications
· Physics-informed AI for Molecular-Scale Modelling Applications
· Moving Front kinetic Monte Carlo Simulations of Moving Interface Systems

3. Recruitment requirements
· Age: under 35.
· Education: Must have obtained, within the past 3 years, a related engineering/computer science PhD degree from an accredited university.
· Full-time employment only. Healthy.
· Required skills:
· Proficient in python or MATLAB
· Good spoken and written communication in English (Chinese is a bonus)
· Excellent problem solver
· Excellent project management skills
· Optional skills:
· Familiarity with machine learning (artificial neural networks, deep learning, physics-informed neural networks)
· Familiarity with numerical methods (finite difference, FEA) and/or molecular level modelling techniques (kinetic Monte Carlo, Molecular Dynamics)
· Team player and works well in collaboration with others
· Self-driven worker
4. Compensation and benefits:
· Total income before tax: 400,000-600,000 CNY (government subsidies included).
· Provision of legal benefits as well as EIAS benefit packages.
· Postdocs can apply for Talent accommodation online if available during the inbound period.
· Postdocs can apply for start-up research funds, maximum 200,000 CNY, from the local government.
· For those who succeed in applying NSFC projects and Provincial research projects, the municipal government gives 1:1 support financially.
· For those who stay to work in Ningbo after outbound, could receive up to 600,000 CNY subsidies.
